The Taverna del Fedele is currently housed in one of the most beautiful of the noble palaces of Foligno, inside which during the year preparations are underway which culminate functioning during the fifteen days in June and September on the occasion of the opening to the public for the quintanaro period , in which seventeenth-century recipes are served, suitably adapted to meet modern tastes, as well as to normally prepare the typical products of Umbria. La Taverna del Fedele, between the ground floor, formerly used as a cellar and ice-house for preserving the meat of the Palazzo (now owned by the Opera Pia Bartocci) with its well and the cramped spaces renovated in the 70s of the last century, and the noble plans, finely rediscovered thirty years ago in their valuable and magnificent lavish pictorial canon with frescoed ceilings and wooden beams to support its weight, including the general quarters of the Rione Croce Bianca. The restaurant is adorned with its tables ready to provide food to strangers, its own Baroque sartorial taste, its hospitable causes and the precious “Palii”, the only tangible proof in the context of the quintanaro of the most winning and mysterious deeds of the “Society” the whole history of the Quintana of Foligno.
