The first Taverna della Quintana in Foligno was opened by the Rione Cassero towards the end of the 1960s in the premises of the ‘Gentili – Spinola’ Palace in Via Mazzini. That tavern is considered by the Folignati and Tourists the typical tavern of the 1600s. Today the tavern of the Rione Cassero is located in a building owned by the Autonomous Body Giostra Quintana located in Via Cortella, 26 near P.zza S. Domenico and the Canapè Park. The total area is over 400 m2. The dining rooms located on the ground floor have a ceiling made of a structure sometimes with exposed bricks. On the ground floor we find the kitchen – pantry – kitchenware – bathroom. The kitchen equipped with a fireplace for grilling meat and vegetables and also we find all the necessary equipment to make it suitable for catering. On the first floor there is also the baroque banquet hall, dedicated to “Pazosu de Zamaglia”. On the second floor there are two apartments so used:
– Right Side: tailoring – costumes – weapons room – bathroom
– Left Side: hall of posts – meeting room – secretary – bathroom
